Scandal prompts review of Army records for mental health compensation

U.S. Today reports that the Army will conduct a 10-year review prompted by a scandal at the Madigan Army Medical Center where service members with a post-traumatic stress disorder diagnosis seeking medical retirements were downgraded, potentially reducing their pension payment. The review is to be completed within 90 days and those who had a mental health diagnosis changed to a lesser illness will have the opportunity to be re-examined.
