Comments requested for revising census questions on disability and employment

December 9, 2010

The Disability Supplement Project aims to develop questions to use for a census, the Current Population Survey (CPS) Supplement, for collecting data on the employment of people with disabilities. Currently, according to the American Association of People with Disabilities, the Census under counts people with disabilities by at least 10 million. These new questions will be included in the May 2012 CPS.

People can submit comments and suggestions to the project to help determine the focus of these questions. For more information and to comment: DOL ODEP and BLS Disability Supplement Project
