September 23, 2010

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a disability discrimination lawsuit against Tarsadia Hotels, doing business as Comfort Suites, in California. The Comfort Suites Mission Valley hotel in San Diego is charged with violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for a failure to reasonably accommodate an employee with a disability which led to the employee being disciplined and fired. The employee, who has Autism, was denied access to a state-funded job coach. The EEOC also contends that he was belittled by his supervisor.
