LRS provides insight for news article covering issues surrounding stabbing suspect's mental illness

An article in The Columbus Dispatch highlighted issues surrounding a stabbing suspect's history of mental illness and obtaining mental health services. Included in the article is information about soon-to-be introduced court-ordered outpatient-treatment legislation. LRS' executive director, in the article, stated that this is not the best approach and is one that has the potential to take away rights from someone when it's actually a systems issue that needs addressed. In addition, there might not be good alternatives for people who don't comply with the court orders.
