Ohio Departments of Mental Health and Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services will consolidate

The Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services issued a joint announcement that the agencies will be consolidating. According to the announcement, the agencies are working with the Governor's Office of Health Transformation to consolidate the back office functions of the two agencies over the next year. The overall goal is to work through the legislature to create a new, combined agency for mental health and addiction services in July 2013.
