U.S. House to reintroduce GOP health care bill

Action Alert: The Health Care Bill is Back

Call your representatives to urge them to vote against cuts in Medicaid and health care for people with disabilities.

The U.S. House is preparing to reintroduce the GOP health care plan. Though we don't have details yet, we expect that it will once again propose to gut the Affordable Care Act, effectively end the Medicaid expansion, and take away the entitlement structure of Medicaid. Any bill that passes the House would then move to the Senate. Though it is unconscionable, Congress could once again be moving to end health coverage for millions of Americans.

DRO urges Congress not to cut Medicaid, which creates opportunities for people with disabilities to live full and integrated lives through HCBS waivers and programs like Medicaid Buy-In.
