The Social Security Administration offers programs for people with disabilities, called the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs. While these two programs are different in many ways, both are administered by the Social Security Administration and only individuals who have a disability and who meet specific medical criteria may qualify for benefits under either program.

The following are links to different sections of the Social Security Administration's website about benefits for children and adults with disabilities.
