Special Education and the Juvenile Justice System

Welcome to "Special Education and the Juvenile Justice System," a tutorial developed by the Ohio Legal Rights Service (LRS). This tutorial teaches you about special education and the juvenile justice system in Ohio and how using the law can help children stay in school and out of prison.

How to Use the Tutorial

Before you begin, here are some tips on how to use the tutorial.

The tutorial is divided into nine sections. On the right side of the screen, you will see an area titled "Topics." Under the Topics heading, the sections are listed by number and title. Each is a link to the specific section. If you want to skip a section, click on the link of the section you want to go to.

Near the bottom of each page, there are links that allow you to go to the previous page or to the next page. When you are finished with a page, choose the "Next" link found on the bottom right side. If you need to go back to the previous page, choose the "Previous" link found on the bottom left side.

At the end of each section, you will be asked to complete a "Test Your Knowledge" quiz. We encourage you to complete these quizzes since they reinforce the important points of each section. However, if you would like to skip the quiz, scroll to the bottom of the page and choose the "Next" link found on the right side.

To begin the tutorial, choose the "Next" link at the bottom right portion of this screen.
