#AdvocacyMatters: Pre-Employment Transition Services

Data informs our choices and decisions here at DRO, and the data from our most recent annual survey showed that many of our clients wanted more information to use and review. One of the topics that people come to us about is Transition Services.

Enter today’s highlighted publication, which is all about Pre-Employment Transition Services (“Pre-ETS”). Pre-ETS are specifically intended for Transition-Aged Youth, which includes any person with a disability from ages 14-21.

This free service program, from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (“OOD”), means that disabled students in our state can prepare for and thrive in their careers. It’s that simple!

If you think you or someone you love could quality for Pre-ETS, we hope you’ll reach out to OOD on their website at OODworks.org or by calling 800-282-4536. Your child or loved one’s school can also help you apply!

Transitioning to a job doesn’t have to be hard. With Pre-ETS, we can make sure all Ohio students with disabilities are able to succeed.
