We’re Stronger Together

This past September, more than 40 representatives from disability groups around Ohio traveled to Washington, D.C. In face-to-face meetings with legislative staffers, we shared the pivotal work that we all do and highlighted the personal, lived experiences to the folks leading this advocacy. By partnering with other advocates and organizations in these conversations, we maximized their impact.

As I’m sure you’ll understand, funding for work like ours is currently quite complicated.

We work throughout the year to raise funding beyond our core federal grants to help us grow our reach, expand our work, and react in real-time to the barriers facing people with disabilities in Ohio. More and more often, we’re finding opportunities to earn increased funding through matching dollars.
