#AdvocacyMatters: Your Voting Toolbox

May 2, 2025

With the May 6th Election just days ahead, we know you have a plan to vote. Our job now is to ensure that you are equipped with the tools to follow through on that plan. Today we are sharing resources you may need to get the job done, every step of the way.

First, you will need the right ID. You can confirm your acceptable forms of ID here: https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/id-requirements/.

Second, you might still be unsure of WHAT you’re voting for. For a sample ballot, visit https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/toolkit/sample-ballot/ and click on your county. If you would like to know more about any of your local races or issues, you can find unbiased information here: https://www.vote411.org/ballot.

Now, you’re ready to vote, which you can even do early! Early voting happens today through this Sunday, May 4th. You can find early voting hours here: https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/current-voting-schedule/.

And finally, don’t forget to use our help ON Election Day. Our Voter Hotline will be open as long as polls are open - from 6:30 am until 7 pm. You can call 614-466-7264 or 800-282-9181 to be connected to someone who can help you answer ANY voting questions. Don’t forget – if you’re in line to vote before polls close, it is your right to not be turned away!

With your voting toolbox in tow, we hope you can cast your ballot next Tuesday with peace of mind and confidence. For more information, visit disabilityrightsohio.org/vote.
