The Ohio Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is continuing its study of voting rights in Ohio. At the Committee's first meeting, DRO Director of Advocacy Kerstin Sjoberg-Witt spoke about the most pressing concerns impacting Ohio voters with disabilities. Her presentation has now been outlined in a new report, Voting in Ohio: A Disability Rights Perspective.
The Committee has now announced dates for two additional meetings on Friday, April 13 and Monday, May 14. At the end of each meeting, the public is invited to share their voting stories, as time allows. The participation information for the meetings can be found below. The Ohio Committee will be issuing a report to the Commission after all testimony has been received.
