#AdvocacyMatters: Medicaid Access is Crucial

Congress is targeting Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act (ACA)! On May 22nd, the United States House of Representatives passed their version of the federal budget bill that could have drastic affects for Ohioans with disabilities, children, and older adults.

This bill, if passed by the Senate in the current form, will mean nearly $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid and the ACA. That means almost 14 million Americans would lose healthcare access. The budget bill is now with the Senate, so it is vital to let Senators know how these dangerous cuts impact you. You can do this by understanding what these cuts will mean, crafting a plan for outreach and contacting your representatives.
